Meritus Ventures Fund Manager, Ray Moncrief, testified before the House Committee on Financial Services on the importance and role of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). Also testifying were Ms. Donna Gambrel, Director of the CDFI Program, and The Honorable Michael Barr, Assistant Secretary of Domestic Finance, U.S. Department of the Treasury.

February 24, 2010 - Meritus Ventures Fund Manager Speaks to Area Business and Technology Leaders on Venture Capital Activity in the Region

Meritus Ventures Fund Manager, Grady Vanderhoofven, was the guest speaker at the February meeting of the Innovation Valley Technology Council. Mr. Vanderhoofven presented an outstanding summary of Venture Capital in the State of Tennessee relative to venture capital hot spots across the country as well as in the southeastern U.S.  Mr. Vanderhoofven's presentation includes statistics that show the economic impact of venture backed companies on job creation and wealth creation for a host community.

May 28, 2009 - Meritus Ventures Fund Manager Participates in Panel Discussion on  "Bridging the Gap from Science to Commerce." 

Meritus Ventures Fund Manager, Grady Vanderhoofven, participated on a panel discussion at the Tennessee Valley Corridor Summit on May 28, 2009.  Also on the panel were economic developers, venture capitalists, and local, state, and federal elected officials, who presented successful models for commercialization of intellectual property and small business development.  Click on the following link to view video of the presentation.
